HISTORY
Saint Marks Apostolic Church was originally Saint Marks Church, govern under the auspices of the Episcopalian Diocese of Maryland. The church begun with irregular services, held in Petersville, Frederick County area by visiting clergy as early as 1780. The church which is unique with a cemetery carried further until 1896 because of a diminishing congregation. After the church sat for decades it was resurrected in 1995 by the call of God through Bishop Ambush. Bishop Ambush pastored for 25 years until experiencing significant health issues. Bishop Ambush through prayer sought God for direction and soon selected Dr. Tamaro Hudson who began pastoring Saint Marks Apostolic church in 2018.

St. Marks Apostolic Church is called to proclaim and share the redeemable gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, broken hearted, oppress, and captives and to provide knowledge of his salvation by the remission of sins. To demonstrate the power of his love through the word of God by feeding the hungry, clothing the homeless, sharing his love, and lifting the broken hearted and oppress. To provide a place of worship and praise as well as comfort and refuge. All elements of the mission shall be accomplished through the teachings of Jesus Christ and the wonderful oneness doctrine (Titus 3:4-5).
VISION
To collectively grow and unify St. Marks into a multi-cultural/multinational Church without walls that uses the power of the word of God demonstrated through love and the power of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8) to empower and transform people’s lives (Change their perspective on how they see themselves and God). To develop different ministries through a team approach that deals with wholeness of a person’s being (Habakkuk 2:2).
